The Birmingham Library has been announced as the next venue to host a “Make it your Business” event. With a range of events and seminars already hosted around the country, hosting one in the second city of Birmingham was a must.
Make It Your Business (MIYB) was founded in 2017 and is a nationwide initiative that encourages and supports women to start their own business.
Each session is aimed at introducing budding female business owners with local established female entrepreneurs to learn from their experiences and network with them in a relaxed environment.
The Birmingham event is being hosted by Lichfield business woman, Karen Tracey. Karen is the owner and founder of Dunelm Business Consultants and was chosen for her strong influence with women entrepreneurs both nationally and internationally.
Following a career in the RAF, Karen founded Dunelm Business Consultants 9 years ago and it is a Coaching and Training business specialising in Leadership. She is also one of two UK chairs for a global women’s network, the Women Presidents’ Organisation (WPO) and Midlands Honorary Consul to Latvia, appointed by the Latvian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, which connects and supports Latvian and British businesses.
In addition, Karen is a business board member of the Women In Enterprise All Party Parliamentary Group in the UK Parliament, which consists of women business owners and entrepreneurs who meet to ensure the challenges and opportunities for female entrepreneurs are considered and promoted to Government.
