Conservatives on Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council have re-elected Cllr Kris Wilson to be the leader of their Group, and Leader of the Council.
In his first act as Leader, he has confirmed his Cabinet and slashed their pay compared to outgoing Labour Councillors.
In addition, a new position has been created to focus on delivering major regeneration of our towns and to encourage businesses to thrive in our Borough.
Commenting, Cllr Wilson said:
“I am delighted that at the same time as appointing our new Cabinet we have also fulfilled out first election manifesto pledge by reducing the amount of pay Cabinet Members will receive.
“My Cabinet, alongside all Conservative Councillors, look forward to delivering our pledges and bringing about leadership of vision, ambition and aspiration which our Borough so desperately needs.”
The following have been appointed:
Cllr Kris Wilson (Whitestone) - Leader of the Council and Business and Regeneration
Cllr Clare Golby (Arbury) - Deputy Leader of the Council and Housing and Communities
Cllr Sam Croft (Galley Common) - Finance and Corporate
Cllr Kyle Evans (Slough) - Public Services
