Craig Tracey MP addresses new generation of Female Entrepreneurs in Birmingham
Member of Parliament for North Warwickshire & Bedworth, Craig Tracey, addressed a meeting of future women entrepreneurs and encouraged them to “seize the initiative” and “start growing” their business ideas.
Speaking to the Make It Your Business meeting at The Birmingham Library, Mr. Tracey argued that the success of the UK economy depended on women succeeding in business. “As Chair of the APPG for Women in Enterprise, I meet inspiring women every day, fizzing with viable ideas and determined to make it happen”.
Former small business owner, Mr. Tracey, continued “Encouraging women to start or grow their own business is not just the right thing to do: it also makes huge economic sense. If the current gender imbalance was addressed, female-owned businesses could add an additional £250bn to the U.K. economy by 2025”.
