Local elections for Council seats at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council take place on Thursday 3 May 2018. Voters across Bedworth, Exhall, Ash Green and Keresley have the chance to decide the future direction of their communities.
Local Conservatives in Nuneaton and Bedworth have released their manifesto to give residents a clear view of what a Conservative led Council would mean for our Borough. The manifesto sets out a clear series of commitments for changes to important issues, such as future housing developments, protection of the local greenbelt and improving our town centres. This is in a stark contrast to the current run-down Labour administration, who take voters for granted and have run out of ideas for the future.
The Chairman of the Bedworth Branch of the Conservative Party, Damon Brown said,
"The choice at this election is very clear: a Conservative Party who have vision, ambition and aspiration for our Borough, or a Labour Party who have run out of ideas and are ready to be voted out of office. As Conservatives, we want to be up front and open with people about our aims and ambitions for the future of the towns and villages in the area. That's why we have produce a manifesto that sets out a series of policies that are about a vision of a better place to live work and bring up a family.
Conservatives are the only party who will be fielding candidates in every seat in our Borough, and we are the only party who can oust Labour at the Town Hall. A vote for any other party is a vote which will see Labour continue to rundown our towns and bulldoze the greenbelt."
A vote for the Conservatives is a vote for transforming our town centres; A Borough Plan fit for the future; Homes for the next generation; Investing your money wisely; and cleaning our Borough.
Key Conservative plans for Nuneaton and Bedworth are for investment in our town centres, cutting parking charges to encourage shoppers to visit, keeping the toilets in our towns open and a Local Authority Mortgage Scheme which will help first time buyers currently residing in our Borough to buy their first home here.
