Local Conservative Councillors have announced the launch of a new Social Action Team to tackle issues such as litter, fly tipping and graffiti in the Coleshill area. The scheme follows a series of successful litter picks by County Councillor Peter Fowler and Town Councillor Richard Mason. The team will consist of local Conservative Councillors and volunteers who will respond to residents’ reports of damage or litter in the neighbourhood.
Borough Councillor Stacey Ingram said, “Coleshill is a lovely place to live and it is important that we keep it that way. We have decided to launch this Social Action Team to tackle issues caused by people who have no respect for our area.”
County Councillor Peter Fowler added,
“Having worked for many years with local residents and groups such Churches Together to remove litter and graffiti in Coleshill, the launch of the new Social Action Team will bring everyone together to make Coleshill a cleaner and more pleasant place to live. I look forward to working with them.”
Town Councillor Richard Mason said: “I have enjoyed making Coleshill free from litter during previous litter picks. I will continue to work hard to get rid of litter and graffiti in our community.”
